Lira Motorsports is excited to welcome David Levine to its driver lineup. Levine will be the newest member of Lira Motorsports, the local race team based out of Port Orange, Florida.
Levine plans to run a full schedule in 2015 in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. It will be his first full season in the ARCA Racing Series.
His first stint behind the wheel comes next weekend, December 19-20, when he will participate in the ARCA Racing Series test sessions at Daytona International Speedway. Lira Motorsports and Kimmel Racing will partner for the event, with Levine as their driver in the No. 68 Kimmel Racing Ford Fusion.
Levine has made a career as a road course specialist thus far, focusing on sports cars, stock cars, and open wheel formula cars.
In 2013, David was the closing driver in the Ford Mustang Boss 302 for Racers Edge and he also drove the No. 43 in three ARCA races for the Richard Petty organization, including a top-10 finish in the Scott 160 at Road America.
In 2012, David raced in the ST Class and finished the season with one win and two third place finishes. Over the years, David has won the pole at Road Atlanta, Road America, Sebring, Palm Beach International Raceway, and Homestead-Miami Speedway.
His sports car experience includes Ford Mustangs, BMW 328is, and Mazda MX-5s. His stock car experience includes road courses, short-tracks, and 1.5 mile ovals. He brought home a Top-12 in the ARCA series ActivArmr 150 race at Chicagoland Speedway in 2012 and finished 4th nationally in both the 2009-2010 and the 2010-2011 Skip Barber Mazda MX-5 Winter Series.
